Welcome to Greens & Fries! My name is Paris. I live for Green Juice and French Fries and knowing that a well-balanced life means having both and having them often. The concept here is getting your greens in but always leaving room for a side of fries!
I am a self-taught cook, caught in a not-so-secret love affair with vegetables. Growing up in a middle-eastern home with a mom who loved to cook and a dad who loved to eat, I somehow fell right in the middle. I met my husband in 2012 and my passion for cooking grew to a whole new level when he introduced me to the world of veganism. I realized for the first time that the only thing holding me back from the kitchen was the fear of handling raw meats. I hated it. That’s when it clicked. I’d never have to touch raw meat if I’d just stop eating it. The rest has been a purely joyful, meat-free extravaganza and the most delicious time of my life.
In 2018, I became a mom and in 2019 I became a mom again! More than ever, I was craving delicious plant-centric meals but needing them to be comforting, fun, and desirable. Now that I am a real life mother of two (WTF) I also realize the importance of getting these delicious meals on the table as quickly and easily as possible.
This blog is designed to be a place where you you can find easy recipes for delicious treats and healthy eats, all in one place.
I hope to show you how you can make a variety of foods using only a few steps and a few ingredients. My promise to you is we’ll keep the dishes to a minimum too.
Almost everything here can be easily customized to fit your dietary needs and your unique tastebuds. I encourage you to go off script and promise nothing here will be held to rigid standards. Although I do list measurements and ingredients, I hope you’ll make my recipes YOURS by measuring with your heart (and whatever’s in your fridge)
